This is the story of a chilly winter day in Turin that began inside an abandoned disco club and turned into a tour of some of the city’s most interesting places, all of them with a distinctly post-industrial taste.

It all started with my dear friend Mark Cooper, who wanted to collect new material for his incredible digital artworks (if you have never seen them, his website is well worth a visit). So I called Davide Lucchini, one of my best friends, who has been living and working in Turin for almost two decades and, over the past few years, has built a solid body of street photography. Once he heard Mark’s ideas, Davide guided us through a truly unique photographic exploration of his city.

A couple of months later, the three of us met again to walk the old lanes of Genoa: that walk became Creuza de mâ.
